Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky visited the United States in the latest phase of Kyiv’s campaign to persuade Western powers to allow the use of long-range missiles to bomb targets inside Russia.
The president will also deliver a speech at the summit of world leaders at the United Nations headquarters in New York on monday afternoon , before attending the United Nations Security Council meeting on Tuesday to discuss the situation in Ukraine.
He is also scheduled to travel to Washington to present Kyiv’s plan to end the war with Russia, which President Joe Biden described as a “successful plan”. On Sunday, Mr Zelensky visited a weapons factory in Pennsylvania that produces artillery that Ukraine urgently needs and thanked the workers there.
