The Turkish oil exploration vessel Oruç Reis officially, after a 9-month exploration mission in Somali waters has officially departed Mogadishu port today.

The Turkish-owned Oruç Reis has been conducting oil exploration in the Somali sea since October 25, 2024, officially completing its 234-day mission.

The Ministry Minister of Ports and Maritime Transport , Abdulqadir Mohamed Nur (Jaamac), and the Turkish Ambassador to Somalia seen off the Ship.

During the operation, the ship collected 3D seismic data from three parts of the Somali sea, covering a sea area of ​​4,464 square kilometers.
