The Turkish government has unveiled its first hypersonic missile, named Tayfun Block-4, is a hypersonic variant of the long-range missile, weighing more than 7 tons, which can reach long-range targets in a short time and destroying strategic targets at long distances.
Turkey has unveiled new weapons and military equipment, including the Atmaca missile, which is a submarine-launched cruise missile with a range of more than 250 km and a cluster munition warhead.
“The Tayfun Block-4 achieves long ranges, setting another record for the Turkish defense industry. Weighing over 7 tons, this new version of the Tayfun, with its multi-purpose warhead, will be capable of destroying numerous strategic targets, such as air defense systems, command and control centers, military hangars, and critical military facilities, from kilometers away,” Roketsan said in a statement.
A six-day exhibition in Istanbul showcased weapons and other military equipment, which more than a hundred countries participated .
