US President Donald Trump announced on Wednesday that he and Russian leader Vladimir Putin have agreed to “immediately” start negotiations with the Ukrainian president to end the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
The phone conversation between Putin and Trump lasted about an hour and a half, with the Russian president extending an invitation to Moscow, Peskov said.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Putin supported Trump’s idea that it was time to work together.
Trump, on the other hand, said that he and President Putin will have meetings, and the first one will take place in Saudi Arabia.
