The United States House of Representatives has finally passed a temporary budget to continue funding the United States federal government until March.
The vote that took place in the Assembly was supported by 366 members, while 34 were against it, and one MP remained silent. All the senators who rejected the budget were members of the Republican Party.
Republican leaders have agreed on a new budget proposal. After a long meeting of Republican lawmakers, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mike Johnson, said that a new plan was agreed upon to avoid a government shutdown.
The emergency action comes after Republican lawmakers in Congress failed on Thursday to pass a budget supported by President-elect Donald Trump.
