The army, especially the 7th Battalion of the April 12 Division, conducted operations to clear and destroy the places where Al-Shabaab members were located in the areas between the road connecting Bali-Doogle and Afgoye in the Lower Shabelle region.
This operation, which was destroyed by al-Shabaab, was led by the Commander of the 7th Battalion of the Central Army, Ahmed Abdi Ali “Ahmed Gashaan” along with the Deputy Commander of the Brigade and other officers.
The areas where the operation was carried out include Bagdad, Donka, Kakharow, Jambalul, Doon Dheere, God Dofaar, Baladul-Amin, Warmahan, Tihsil and other areas.
In recent times, the national and local forces have been fighting against al-Shabaab in many regions of the country.
