The Somali National Army, especially the 9th Battalion, launched a strong attack this morning in the Qaydar-Ade area, which is 30 km from Eelbarde District, from Hudur District, Bakool Regional Center.
The military officials said that the army, which was aware of Al-Shabaab gathering, attacked the Al-Shabaab group, who were being chased in the forest.
The officers who led the operation confirmed that the operation was successful . A number of deaths and injuries of Al Shabab has been reported in the Kederar-Adde area and opened training camps.
The Somali government has not yet released further details about the attack and the official losses inflicted on Al-Shabaab and the losses suffered by the Somali government forces.
