Abdirisaq Haji Mohamed Sirad, who was the longest-serving BBC Somali language journalist, passed away last night in Hargeisa.
Abdirizaq was an open man with a lot of humor and no one has ever complained about him . He was an experience man who has worked for a long time.
In 1947, he completed his education up to high school in the city of Hargeisa. In September 1969, he came to London for university studies, graduating in Chemistry.
Abdirisaaq started working in the Somali language branch and later became an official employer.
On the other hand the somali leaders including the Somalia Prime Minister Hamsa Abdi send his condolences.
“I send my deepest condolences to the family, relatives, relatives, the media community and the Somali nation as a whole for the tragic death of journalist Abdirisaaq Haji Mohamed Sirad who passed away tonight in Hargeisa”. said, Prime Minister Hamsa Abdi Barre.
Also Minister of the Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism of Somalia Mr. Daud Aweys Jama, and other officials sended there condolences .
