There are various reports of an attack by armed militias in the area of Dakawaley in the Faafan region of the Somali regional government.
At least 5 local government police officers were killed in the attack by the armed militias while a number of others were injured.
The attack was followed by a battle between local government forces and armed militias, which took place in Dakawaley area of Faafan region of the Somali regional government.
Officials who spoke for the Ethiopian Somali Autonomous Government told the media that at the time of the attack, the local army was there to resolve the dispute, but they were attacked by the gunmen.
The government officials also said that they are now making efforts to resolve the crisis by sending a call for peace to the people who are affected by the conflict in their area.
In any case, this attack comes at a time last week in Dakawaley area where the security chief of Yooale district and two people who were accompanying him were killed by armed gunmen whose whereabouts are unknown.
