The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mr. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, and a senior delegation led by him have paid an official visit to Cairo, the capital of Egypt, after receiving an official invitation from the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Mr. Abdul Fattah Al-Sisi.
The two Presidents will discuss the strengthening of joint efforts to fight terrorism and how to accelerate cooperation in security and public safety in the region.
Also, President Hassan Sheikh and his brother Abdul Fattah Al-Sisi will focus on economic development, business development and investment, with the two governments giving priority to the promotion of trade and investment exchange opportunities.
President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud thanked President Abdulfatah Al-Sisi for the warm invitation and the way the Egyptian government always stands by Somalia, pointing out that the relationship between the two countries is based on brotherhood, strategic cooperation, and the common interests of the two peoples.
