General Igor Kirillov, a senior officer in the Russian Armed Forces, was killed in an explosion in Moscow, the capital of Russia.
Igor was the leader of Russia’s nuclear weapons watchdog, abbreviated as NBC.
It is also reported that his deputy was killed in the explosion.
Igor Kirillov died after a bomb exploded on his motorcycle while he was leaving his home on Tuesday.
On Monday, Ukraine indicted Kirillov on charges of using chemical weapons previously banned in Ukraine. it accused him of committing war crimes.
Britain and other countries have previously imposed sanctions on Kirrilov for his role in the use of chemical weapons in Russia.
He was appointed in April 2017.
