The Business areas of the Bakara market in Mogadishu were reopened today, after a complaint by the businessmen that the market was closed for four days.
The reason for the re-opening of the market came after yesterday’s meeting of the committee of the businessmen of Banadir region, and the acting president of the People’s Assembly of the Somali Parliament, Sheikh Adan Madobe.
The businessmen who met with Sheikh Adan Madobe, told him that the main reason they stopped trading in the market is that the government has always imposed excessive taxes and they need to find a solution to this.
On the other hand, Governor Sheikh Adan Madobe, instructed the businessmen to reopen their business places, and the burdens of the obstacles in the business places in Mogadishu will be lifted.
