Raxma, popularly known as Sweetbirdd on social media and a prominent Somali entrepreneur, has openly declared that there is no truth to the idea that men are superior to women.
Speaking to her followers, Sweetbirdd firmly rejected the notion that men hold a higher status than women. She said:
“Are men and women not equal before Allah? Moreover, the claim that ‘men are 100% and women are 50%’ is false. Bring me a Qur’anic verse or Hadith that proves this claim if it exists.”
Her remarks have sparked widespread discussion across social media, with many supporting her views while others have criticized her statements.
Sweetbirdd is among the Somali women actively engaged in business and public discourse, often sharing her thoughts on gender equality, women’s rights, and business development with her audience.
