The Sudanese army and the RSF forces are ready to come up with a peaceful solution to the 17-month long civil war in Sudan, in response to US President Joe Biden’s call on warring parties to re-engage in talks.

The head of the armed forces of Sudan, Abdel Fattah al-Burhan said that the government of Sudan is directing all effective efforts to end the war.

Also RSF leader Mohamed Hamdan Daglo followed suit with a similar sentiment early on Thursday.

However, these two men blamed each other for the failure to end the deadly war in Sudan, which has killed more than 12,000 people since April 2023.

The president of the United States, Joe Biden, a few days ago called on the conflicting parties in Sudan to renegotiate in order to end the civil war

The United States has already accused both sides of committing war crimes, and has imposed sanctions on 16 people and organizations involved in the war. The United States has said it is keeping an eye on the war and may impose additional sanctions
