Hurricane warnings have been issued for many parts of the Pacific Ocean after a powerful 8.8-magnitude earthquake struck off the Russian island of Kamchatka.
Residence have been ordered to evacuation to much of Japan’s eastern coast, where waves of up to four meters are expected.
The Russian Geological Survey said it was the strongest earthquake to hit the region since 1952.
Also series of earthquakes hit the same area last week.
