Rescue efforts are underway as Spain faces its worst flooding disaster in decades, with at least 95 people confirmed dead and dozens more missing after heavy rains battered the eastern province of Valenica and elsewhere.
Heavy rains in the country have caused floods that have washed away bridges and buildings and forced people to climb onto rooftops or cling to trees for safety.
Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez has declared three days of national mourning as dire conditions from the disaster continue, limiting some rescue efforts.
The death toll is feared to rise as “there are many missing people”, according to the government.
