A memorial service held today for the 21 pupils who died on 5th September where more than 150 pupils were also in the dormitory in an outbreak fire at a boarding School in Hillside Academic in Nyeri county.
Nyeri Governer said today nine of the them will be buried today after the memorial service while ten will be laid to rest on Friday and remaining two will be buried on Saturday.
Some of the top leaders who attended the service to give there condolences are Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, Education CS Julius Ogomba .
Also DAP-K Party leader Eugene Wamalwa, Nyeri Senator Wamatinga Wahome and his Kitui counterpart Enoch Wambua, Nyeri Woman Rep Rahab Mukami, MPs Wanaina Njoroge (Kieni), Irene Njoki and former Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu,(Bahati) were present.
Former president Uhuru Kenyatta and president William Ruto send their condolences.
