The Somaliland Electoral Commission said that the counting of votes in all regions of Somaliland has ended.
The votes cast by the people in the presidential elections and the political organizations have now passed from the local and district level, and from now on they will be passed to the regional and general level which are the last stages.
Muse Hasan Yusuf, the chairman of the Somaliland elections committee, said that the remaining parts of the counting of votes cast will not take much time, adding that they still have the time allowed by the law when it comes to announcing the results of the elections held on November 13.
He called on the people to wait for information from the committee, after the funeral of the former president of Somaliland, Ahmed Mohamed Mohamud (Silanyo), which is expected to take place today in Hargeisa.
