The Minister of Security of the Federal Government of Somalia held a special welcome ceremony in honor of the Minister of Interior and Security of the Republic of Iraq at the General Kaahiye Police Training Center in Mogadishu.
The event highlighted the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation in the areas of internal security, policing, and counterterrorism, and served as a platform to showcase Somalia’s ongoing efforts in professionalizing its police force.
During the visit, the Iraqi delegation was briefed on Somalia’s progress in police training, national security reforms, and efforts to maintain stability in the face of ongoing challenges.
The Somali Minister expressed appreciation for the visit, stating that it reflects the growing friendship and collaboration between Somalia and Iraq in the security sector.
The ceremony was attended by senior government officials, police commanders, and representatives from both nations.
