The Upper House of the Parliament of the Republic of Somalia has recently approved the Higher Education Bill which was presented to the council by the Ministry of Education of the Federal Government of Somalia.
The Speaker of the Upper House, Mr. Abdi Hashi Abdullahi, who was presiding over the meeting, announced the results of the vote, and said that 29 senators approved the bill, and there were no dissenters or silencers.
The Minister of Education of the Federal Government of Somalia Mr. Farah Sheikh Abdulqadir who later spoke to the members of the Upper House thanked them for the approval of the Bill, which he said is important for the education community in the country.
