Somalia Prime Minister Mr. Hamsa Abdi Barre, received in his office the Deputy Secretary General of the United Nations in charge of operational support, Mr. Atul Khare , and discussed the strengthening of cooperation between Somalia and the United Nations.
They discussed strengthening of security and UN to extend technical support to the government of Somalia especially the plan of the Somali security forces to take over the areas vacated by the African Union forces in ATMIS , and the preparations for the new operation of AUSSOM.
The Deputy Secretary General of the UN , on his part thank the PM for welcoming him, congratulating Somalia on the seat of the United Nations Security Council, and hoped that Somalia can contribute to peace and development in the region and in the world .
