The Prime Minister of the Somali Government, Hamza Abdi Bare accompanied by government officials and military commanders , has arrived for the first time in Las Anod, the capital of the Sool region of SSC Khaatumo.
He was warmly welcomed by thousands of Las Anod citizens and SSC Khatuma officials, as Security in Las Anood has been tightened and traffic and people have been restricted.
This visit will also be brief, lasting two days according to the plan, while in Las Anod , the prime minister will meet with the leadership of SSC-Khaatumo, traditional elders, and various sectors of society, and will inquire about the current conditions in the areas of that administration.
However, this visit also comes at a sensitive time with reports emerging that Somaliland could receive recognition from major powers, primarily the United States, which the federal government strongly opposes.
