Somalia President , Mr. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, has paid an official visit to Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, in connection with the implementation of the diplomatic cooperation agreement that the two countries recently reached.
The President thanked his counterpart Ilham Aliyev and his Government for the warm welcome they received to his delegation and the high importance they give to the development of relations between the two countries, as it is the first visit of the Somali President to Azerbaijan.
During the President’s visit, Somalia and Azerbaijan will sign important agreements to establish relations between the two countries, and the President’s delegation will hold meetings with their counterparts in this country.
The visit of President Hassan Sheikh shows the importance that the government of Somalia attaches to the expansion of international cooperation and the development of the economy and security, to benefit the two countries and the people of Somalia and Azerbaijan.
