The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, His Excellency Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, spent last night on the front lines of the war in the Hiran region, inspecting and holding meetings with Hirshabelle administration leaders and National Army officers leading the fight against Al Shabab groups.
President Hassan who arrived in Moqokori district, met with the Vice President of Hirshabelle, Mr. Yusuf Ahmed Hagar (Dabageed), administration officials, and officers leading operations to liberate areas under the control of Al Shabab.
They presented how the military is encouraged by the fact that the President of the Nation is with them during the outbreak of war, closely monitoring the achievements, needs, and bravery of the Somali Army.
The President praised the troops for defending the country and saving the people, and promised that the government would strengthen its support for the troops, especially in terms of equipment, supplies and care for the wounded.
Also President Hassan called on the Somali people to stand by the troops, as victory in the war is a shared responsibility of the entire Somali nation.
The President who went there to accelerate the fight against Al-Shabaab, and will also move on to other areas to ensure the security and peace of the country.
