The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, His Excellency Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, arrived in Kampala, the capital of Uganda, where he was warmly welcomed.
The President met with his Ugandan counterpart Mr. Yoweri Museveni and discussed the strengthening of relations between the two countries, especially in the areas of security, economy and the fight against terrorism.
After that, the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, His Excellency Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, will leave for Darussalam in Tanzania this afternoon, to attend an extraordinary meeting to discuss the conflict in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The Darussalam conference will strengthen efforts to end the conflict in the region, as Somalia is always ready for full cooperation and support for peace and development in the region.
