President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud met with Mr. Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, Chairperson of the African Union Commission, at the AU Headquarters in Addis Ababa.
They discussed Somalia’s stabilisation efforts, enhancing regional peace and security, and the transition of AUSSOM.
Chairperson Mahmoud Ali Youssouf told President Hassan that the African Union is fully committed to supporting the path to peace in Somalia.
Lastly President Hassan Sheikh thanked the African Union for its warm welcome and continued support, providing an update on the overall situation in the country in terms of security, elections, and the Gedo crisis.
