Somalia President Addresses Security, Land Disputes, and Recent Attacks in Mogadishu.

The president of the government of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, spoke about security issues, the government’s concession to the opposition’s concerns, the regulation of public land and the insecurity incidents in the capital in the past few days.

First of all, the President spoke about the security of the capital and the government has greatly secured the development of the capital.

“The improved security in Mogadishu did not happen by itself — many Somalis sacrificed their lives for it, and I am asking that we do not want to return to the situation we came from.” said the President.

He brought up the issue of those who have legal documents for properties and lands that have been demolished. President Hassan Sheikh stated that anyone with valid proof can go to the courts, and once their documents are verified, the matter will be resolved.

On the other hand, the President spoke about the attack on the Warta-Nabada police station, saying that individuals who violated Somali citizens are awaiting trial, the President noted that no one is allowed to carry heavy weapons in the city.
