Some reports say that the heads of the regional states will arrive in Mogadishu today to participate in this conference.

Also among the most important issues that will be discussed at this conference are the fight against the Al-Shabaab group and the local council elections that are planned to be held in Mogadishu in June.

The Jubbaland and Puntland administrations are not part of this conference, but for the first time, the SSC-Khatumo administration, which was recently recognized by the central government as a regional administration, will participate.

However, at the end of this conference, an official statement is expected to be issued that will announce the agreed upon items and the direction of the country’s elections.
