Somalia Minister of Planning, Investment and Economic Development Mr. Mohamud Abdi Sheikh Farah (Beenebeene) held important meeting with the European Union Ambassador to Somalia, Karin Johansson.
They both discussed the progress made in the National Development Plan (NDP/NTP), cooperation between Somalia and the European Union, and Somalia’s grant structure.
They talked about the role of the European Union in supporting aid grants and development projects in Somalia, especially in the areas of security, good governance, and economic development and the importance of the continuous cooperation between Somalia and the European Union, underlining that the current grant structure is key to economic growth and social development.
They further discussed to strenghthen their cooperation and also to ensure the grants and support of the European Union are properly used for effective projects that can change the lives of the Somali community.
