The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Mr. Ambassador Ahmed Macallin Fiqi Ahmed, delivered a speech at the United Nations Security Council session number 9841 held in New York.
The session focused on the humanitarian situation in Gaza and how to deal with the poor conditions there.
Minister Fiqi declared that Somalia is committed to stand by and support the cause of Palestine.
“We cannot turn a blind eye to the plight of the Palestinian people,” Minister Fiqi stated. “Somalia stands in solidarity with them and calls upon the international community to act decisively and humanely.”
