A delegation led by the Minister of Environment and Climate Change of Somalia Amb Khadija Mohamed Al-makhzoumi participated in the 40th session of the Executive Committee of the Green Climate Fund.
This meeting held in the city of Incheon Songdo in South Korea was approved today with $100 million dollars for the implementation of a project to increase the climate resilience of the Somali community.
“It was history today after this project became the first to be approved in Somalia and it is also the fastest project ever approved at the GCF Executive Committee meeting! , and this was achieved through the efforts of the National Government with the help of the international community,” said Minister Amb Khadija Mohamed Al-makhzoumi.
