A press release from the Ministry of Finance of the Federal Government of Somalia stated that a conference on the development and financing of economic resources in Somalia, between the Ministry of Finance of the Federal Government of Somalia and the International Monetary Fund (IMF), has opened in Nairobi.
“A significant meeting between the Somali Federal Government and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has opened in Nairobi, focusing on the development of the Somali economy and how to access financing for the development of Somalia’s productive resources.”
“The four-day meeting will focus on reviewing the achievements of the Somali government since the debt relief was announced, as well as the country’s economic development plan and how to finance development projects that can help Somalia achieve economic self-sufficiency,” the Ministry of Finance said in a statement.
