Somalia government appointed a committee to respond to the damage caused by the rain.

Somali Prime Minister Hamsa Abdi Barre has appointed a committee comprising ministers, the Banadir regional administration and the Somali National Agency to report on the damage caused by the rain in Mogadishu.

 

The committee, led by Second Deputy Prime Minister Jibril Abdirashid, inspected some of the roads and areas affected by the rain.

 

Ibrahim Abdirashid, said that the rain caused significant loss of life and property, and affected the movement of people.

 

He stressed that the government will play its role in managing the damage and providing the necessary emergency relief to those affected by the floods caused by the rain.
