Somalia government has given it last warning to Ethiopian government to withdraw from the maritime agreement.
Hussein Sheikh Ali, the national security adviser to President Hassan Sheikh, said that the federal government has given Ethiopia a lot of time, but it has not made any changes, underlining that the deadline has now been reached.
The national security advisor who spoke to The New Humanitarian newspaper noted it has given within this month to with draw from the agreement from Somaliland and he also added that the continued presence of Ethiopian troops depends on their withdrawal from the maritime agreement with Somaliland as soon as possible.
Somalia is currently planning to expel Ethiopian troops from the country due to the current crisis, and they will be replaced by Egyptian troops who will be part of the new mission to replace ATMIS, when they leave at the end of this year.
