Former Somali President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo spoke about the Somali youth who lost their lives in the sea between Algeria and Spain, and sent a message to the Somali National Army.
In a statement, he expressed his condolences to the families of the youth who died in the crossing. here below is his stataments;
I am sharing my condolences and sadness with the families of the Somali youth who lost their lives in the sea between Algeria and Isbayn.
This painful event shows the real danger of migration that has killed the lives and future of our young people who were the future of the country, and they were waiting to be locked up in the middle to deliver the government, the people and the country.
I call on the Federal and State leaders to focus on programs of youth empowerment and empowerment, and take care of the steps that hurt the youth’s mind first with corruption, insecurity and political uncertainty.
I am advising the youth not to put themselves in serious journeys which will end in death and abortion, and turn against the defense of their people and the productivity of their country. I am encouraging the Somali parents to control the future of the young people and the future of the country.
Finally, I suggest the government to take visible measures against immigration which is a national disaster, and strengthen awareness of the youth, while preventing networks and individuals who are trading from this problem.
