Somalia government forces that has been lately carring operations in the Lower Shabelle region , have spread over a large area that has been liberated from the Al-Shabaab group .
The troops have arrived the areas between the towns of Afgoye and Marka where members of Al Shabab were there before , Also it is reported that the government army has established new bases in those areas along the coast in order to prevent Al Shabab attacks.
During operations the forces arrested suspected people belonging to Al Shabab and they are being investigating according to the officials leading the operations there.
The main target of the operations is to eliminate Al Shabab from that area where they organise most of their attacks.
However, Al Shabab has not yet respond regarding these operations which the federal government of Somalia claimed to be successful.
These operations have been going on for long times in the Lower Shabelle and there are large camps where the troops of the federal government and ATMIS forces are stationed.
