The Federal Government has been trying to send additional troops to Dolow town in Gedo region, where Ethiopian and Jubbaland government soldiers are stationed.
The officers who left Mogadishu and went to Dolow are led by the commander of the ground forces, General Sahal Abdullahi Omar (Khalid), and at first they tried to land at the airport of the city, but they were prevented by the Jubbaland army who are there, and then they had to land Dolow on the Ethiopian side.
The delegation of officials then started meetings with the Ethiopian army in Dolow district, and discussed with them the general security of Gedo, especially how to cooperate in the peace of the region.
The activities are coming at a time when there have been reports in recent days that a new administration will be established in the Jubbaland regions, which will be announced in the Gedo region.
