The Deputy Prime Minister of Somalia Salah Salah Jama lost his membership of the House of Representatives today, as announced by Chairman Abdi Hashi Abdullahi who presided over a meeting of Senators of the House of Representatives today.
It said that the country’s deputy prime minister did not attend the council meetings for two and a half years , which led to loss of his seat.
“For two years and six months, he have not set foot in the headquarters of the Upper House of Assembly,” said chairman Abdi Hashi Abdullahi.
He was replaced by Ibrahim Idle Suleiman, the former president of the Supreme Court.
There was an uproar over this issue, and the board was accused of breaking the council’s bylaws
