The Somali Federal government Council of Ministers has officially approved new members of the National Higher Education Committee, following a recommendation from the Ministry of Education, Culture and Higher Education.
About 15 members have been selected from highly qualified experts in education and university development.
The names of the board members are as follows:
1. Dr. Mohamud Fear – Chairman of the Committee
2. Dr. Mohamed Ali Farah – Deputy Governor
3. Dr. I Sh. Abdullahi Mohamed – Member
4. Dr. Ahmed Adam Mohamed – Member
5. Dr. Roble Ibrahim Liban – Member
6. Dr. Fearful Cabdulle Worship – Member
7. Dr. Fear of Sh. Hassan (Fiqi) – Member
8. Dr. Abdullahi Mohamud Sharif – Member
9. Dr. Ali Mumin Abdiahababababab – Member
10. Dr. Oman Mohamed Abdiraxman – Member
11. Dr. Faysal Fear Abdullahi – Member
12. Dr. Mohamed Teacher Abdullahi Kutub – Member
13. Dr. Court of Abraham Nur – Member
14. Dr. Mohamud Yusuf Garre – Member
15. Dr. Clean Sheikh Omar – Member
The committe is expected to work with the Ministry of Education and universities to have a quality education system, in line with the needs of the country and also to lead agencies in Somalia’s higher education policy.
