The commander of the 60th Division of the Somali National Army has provided further details about Al Shabab attack that took place this morning in the Daynuunay area, which resulted in a major defeat for the terrorists.
The commander of the 8th Brigade, 60th Division of the Somali National Army, Hassan Ali Sanweyne, who led the counter-attack against the Khawarij, gave an interview to the National Media and said that they killed more than 35 Al Shabab , and more than 60 others were injured in the operation.
The command said that the Somali National Army and the Southwest forces are continuing to pursue the remaining Al Shabab fighters who were killed in the operation.
Also the people of Baidoa gathered this morning to view the bodies of the terrorists who were brought to the Daynuunay area this morning in a heavy defeat.
