The Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation of the Federal Republic of Somalia, MP Mohamed Abdi Xayir (Maareeye), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, with the Minister of Agriculture of Azerbaijan, Mr. Majnun Mammadov.
This agreement emphasizes broad cooperation in agricultural investment, the exchange of modern irrigation and drainage systems, the development of research, and cooperation between entrepreneurs engaged in agricultural production in both countries.
This agreement is part of the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation’s efforts to develop domestic production, with the help of modern technologies and international expertise.
Finally, the Minister and his delegation visited agricultural research centers and technological institutes related to soil science and agricultural chemistry in Azerbaijan.
