”Somali will held elections after 56 years” announced President Hassan Sheikh.

The President of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, who was speaking today at an event commemorating the 81st anniversary of the founding of the Somali Police Force in Mogadishu, spoke about several issues.

First , President Hassan thanked all the Somali police forces in their different divisions for their service to their country and people, and they have worked in difficult conditions, and they are ready to continue their work for the Somali community.

The President pointed out that after 56 year one person and one votes will be held in the country, and he said that the police force is required to prepare for the safety of the voters who are participating in the election as stated by the President.

“After 56 years, an election is taking place in the country, Let the police force prepare for the safety of the citizens who voted.” said President Hassan Sheikh.

“There is no tribe that is stronger than another tribe. Yesterday, if we fought against each other with guns, today we will be defeated by a vote.” added the President .

President Hassan also said that there is no place to go back to the country that has a government, he added that it will not be allowed to take the affairs of Somalia abroad, and that is a serious issue for the government of Somalia.
