President Hassan Sheik Mohamud received today SRCC & Head of AUSSOM, Amb. El Hadji Ibrahima Diene at Villa Somalia.
During the meeting Amb. Diene reaffirmed AU’s commitment to supporting Somalia-led political and peace efforts. He thanked the Somali government for its warm reception and hospitality.
The meeting also discussed the transition phase of the AUSSOM mission and the plan to transfer security responsibility to the Somali Armed Forces.
On his side President Hassan Sheikh said that the federal government is waging a war against AS, and the support of the AUSSOM Mission is needed in terms of exchanging military experience and information.
