Somali Police Command arrested a traffic police officer for the brutal murder of a motorcycle rider.
The murder took place at the Afarta Jardiin Intersection in Mogadishu, and the murder sparked a riot that led to the burning of a police vehicle, an action taken by local youth and motorcycle riders, who were angry at the murder of the motorcycle rider.
Somali Police Spokesperson Abdifitaah Adan Hassan told the media that the officer who committed the murder has been arrested and will be brought to justice, and he pointed out that it is unacceptable for citizens to be violated.
Also the said that the suspect is currently detained at the C.I.D. headquarters, and noted that it is unacceptable for public property to be destroyed and the perpetrator will take responsibility for the crime, according to the Police Spokesperson.
