The Somali Police Force , in Particular the Deynille District Police Station , arrested Mohamed Abdullahi Ali for severely beating his wife, Khadro Abdullahi Mohamud who came from Holland last week to visit him in Mogadishu.
The brutal act were widely reported on social media, leading to widespread public outrage.
Photos of the girl posted on social media show that the accused had brutally assaulted her, causing damage to her face and other parts of her body.
Police said the suspect would be charged to court to face the law.
The military urged the public to work closely with security agencies to combat such abuses.
