Mogadishu, Thursday, 17 July 2025: โ The council of ministers of the Federal Republic of Somalia, who had their weekly meeting today, talked about how to help the people affected by drought in Awdal region, especially in the districts of Saylac, Lughaya and the suburbs, with information about the drought through a message from the Ministry of Interior and Sodma, who have presented the effects of drought caused by people, livestock and production.
Prime Minister Hamsa Abdi Barre, who chaired the meeting of the council, has ordered the working government agencies to stand up for the situation of the drought in those areas and to deliver emergency aid to the community, while the council has called on the Somali community and international organizations to be part of the rescue to those affected by drought.
The council of ministers congratulated the minister of finance of the federal government for winning the award of the best finance minister in Africa, which translates to the development that the country has achieved in the process of reforming the financial administration.
The council of ministers have congratulated the ministry of information for the success of implementing modern media (MEDIA SATELLITE TELEPORT), which enabled the national media to improve its media services.
Meanwhile, the council of ministers, has approved an agreement with the Ministry of Labor of Somali federal government, which is between the Somali and Turkey governments, regarding the cooperation of work, employment and the development of the workers.
