Members of both Houses of the Federal Parliament of Somalia approved the Law on Organizations and Political Parties in the country on Wednesday.
The two Houses of the Somali Parliament held a joint session this morning at the House of Assembly in Villa Hargeisa and unanimously approved the Law on Organizations and Political Parties as announced by the Committee of the Two Houses.
The MPs who attended this morning’s session approved the law by a majority vote and 177 members agreed and one MP was silent and there was no one who objected to the approval of the law according to the committee.
The meetings of the Parliament that President Hassan Sheikh has already requested are going on fast, and the main plan is the implementation of the election of one person one vote and not the decision of the members of the National Consultative Council.
This plan caused a lot of tension, after Saeed Deni, Ahmed Madobe and the opposition politicians against the central government rejected it.
