The Somali National Army, in cooperation with the local people’s army, launched a multi-directional attack on Al-Shabaab in the Mudug region.

The reports say the war started in the areas of Barag-Hurdaye and Miroon and a face-to-face battle is still going on.
Sources from local people also told us that heavy bombings are going on in parallel with the operations in the outskirts of Harardhere district in Mudug region.
It is not known until now the official losses resulting from the attack and the subsequent war, while the situation is very tense.
