The Somali Military Court has executed due to serious crimes related to their membership in the Al-Shabaab group, particularly planned assassinations and bombings in the country.
The men who were executed were named Anas Abdulqadir Ali Mohamud “Salmaan” and Adan Mursal Mohamed Idoow are accused of carrying out bombings and killings in the northern city of Galkayo in the Puntland region.
The Military Court had previously sentenced these men to death, and that sentence was carried out today.
Death sentences have become a common practice for prisoners of Al-Shabaab members.
