The Federal Government of Somalia has prepared the largest troop to to expel Al-Shabaab from the areas they still hold in the Middle Shabelle region, especially the strategic district of Aden Yabaal.
The troops who are specially trained with modern equipment were presented at the Garasweyne area to carry out serious operations related to ensuring security and restoring government administration in key districts.
The operation is set to begin in the coming days, and is based on a joint plan involving the Somali National Army, the Police and local forces.
These operation is the second phase of the war against Al-Shabaab, which aims to liberate all areas where they still hold sway in the central regions of the country, including Aden Yabaal which is currently in the hands of Al Shabab militant.
